As a professional makeup artist with 7 years of experience specializing in soft glam and enhanced beauty, I believe in setting clear standards that guarantee a high-quality, personalized experience for every client. Based in Alexandria and proudly servicing the Washington, D.C. area, these non-negotiables guide every service I offer and reflect my commitment to excellence, integrity, and inclusivity. Here’s what matters most to me:

1. Transparent Pricing – No Hidden Fees

The first thing people see when they visit my website is my transparent pricing. I never increase my prices during peak seasons, and I include almost all fees upfront—except for a few variable costs, mainly for travel. I aim to keep my prices accessible for everyone. From a consumer perspective, it’s frustrating to spend time researching, asking for quotes, or checking availability only to find out an artist is out of your budget. I want to spare you that headache by being upfront from the start.

2. Hygiene & Sanitation at All Times

Having spent time in makeup chairs with various artists, I know firsthand that not everyone prioritizes hygiene and sanitation. I never use dirty brushes on my clients. I always bring a surplus of brushes to ensure that every client has their own set of unused brushes. After each event, I deep shampoo my brushes and spray them with 70% alcohol to fully disinfect them. I also keep track of the expiration dates on all my makeup products, use a stainless steel palette and spatula to avoid double-dipping, and opt for disposables whenever necessary. My makeup kit is deep-cleaned and wiped down regularly because safety and cleanliness are paramount.

3. Putting My Client’s Best Interest First

For me, having my client’s best interest in mind means creating a look that not only enhances their beauty but also makes them feel comfortable and confident—especially on their wedding day. Over time, I have honed my skills in specific styles and techniques, which allows me to deliver the best results in areas where I truly excel. Makeup artistry is a diverse field, and many artists develop specialties based on their training and passion. If you’re interested in a makeup style that isn’t my area of expertise, I’m happy to refer you to another talented professional who can bring your vision to life.

4. Inclusivity in Every Brush Stroke

Inclusivity is a core value of my business. I ensure that my kit is well-stocked with shades and products that work for every skin type, skin color, and facial feature. For instance, because many of my Asian clients have unique needs for their features, I use Eastern brands for mascara, eyeliner, eyelash curlers, and other products that better cater to their features. Similarly, I include Black-owned brands that excel in working with deeper complexions. A makeup artist’s kit should never be a one-size-fits-all collection—it should reflect the beautiful diversity of the clients I serve.

5. Collaboration: Creating Together

Collaboration is key to achieving a makeup look that truly reflects my clients’ visions. While I wish I could read minds, I rely on clear and honest feedback to translate your ideas into reality. That’s why I take the time to ask the right questions and understand your concerns, preferences, and the overall vision you have for your look. By working together, we can ensure that the final result is something you feel amazing and confident in.

These are the principles I stand by as a makeup artist. They are not just business policies—they’re a reflection of my commitment to excellence, safety, and genuine collaboration. I’m proud to offer a service where transparency, care, and inclusivity are at the forefront. If these values resonate with you, I’d love to work together to create a look that not only meets but exceeds your expectations. Please reach out to me today!
